Thank you for choosing Minneapolis Public Schools! We hope that our new School Request Website has been helpful to your family as you have learned about options and decided on the best choices for your family.

By following the steps below, you will have the best chance of receiving one of your top choices.

Carefully complete all steps of this request form:

• You may enter up to three schools, we recommend that at one of them is your community school. 
• If you request only magnet schools, or community schools that are outside your attendance area, unfortunately we won’t be able to guarantee a placement.
• Please verify all information before submitting. In some cases, you may be asked for proof of address.

To complete school registration in spring, please be prepared to provide the following:

• Documentation of your child’s name and birth date
• Your child’s immunization record
• Your child’s Early Childhood Screening summary (for children entering MPS for the first time requesting High Five or Kindergarten)

If your child is not placed at your top requested schools, your child will remain on the waitlist for your top requested school through the first month of the 2022-2023 school year, or until we are able to offer a spot at the requested school.
